South Korea’s exports increased more than eight percent from a year
earlier in November to post their highest for the month.

According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources on Monday,
the country’s outbound shipments rose eight‑point‑four percent last
month to 61‑point‑04 billion dollars, the highest ever for November.

This marks the sixth consecutive month of record‑breaking monthly
exports, continuing the upward trend.

Among major items, semiconductor exports surged 38‑point‑six percent
year‑over‑year to nearly 17‑point‑three billion dollars, setting a new
monthly high.

Automobile exports grew 13‑point‑seven percent to 16‑point‑four
billion dollars despite the U.S. tariffs.

Shipments to the United States decreased zero‑point‑two percent
on‑year, while exports to China rose by six‑point‑nine percent.

Imports increased one‑point‑two percent on‑year to 51‑point‑three
billion dollars in November, resulting in a trade surplus of
nine‑point‑73 billion dollars.
